The small, friendly apartment with garden has been completely renovated. The surrounding area is one of the best residential districts in Vienna. The client - with several international residences - wanted a kind of refuge that would allow him to enjoy Vienna as a city of culture for a few periods a year.

A timeless modern living style was desired with a few elements and reminders of its origins.

The apartment on the first floor of the house was in a problematic condition and the garden was barely usable.

The interior designer was commissioned with the entire project, as the client was not in Vienna and therefore could not be immediately available to make decisions. A turn-key project with a given budget...

In the course of this, it was necessary to work according to a clearly defined project organization - starting with the ACTUAL-SOLL analysis, the furnishing and lighting plan and a creative concept clearly aligned with the desired criteria. After clarifying these interrelationships, compliance with the budget and time frame was checked.

The mood board focused stylistically on a good combination of functional, timeless design, some symbolic cultural contrasts from the client's origin and careful furniture planning that could be adapted to the requirements of the location and the spatial conditions in relation to the functional requirements.

A garden planner was consulted for the design of the small garden, which is mainly intended for 'get togethers' for friends and family.

Thanks to the good process organization, the reliable cooperation with the trades and an excellent relationship of trust with the client, the key coordinates such as budget, time and quality were adhered to very well.
